What's New
April 4th, 2010 NYC New York City, 4-4-2010. Every day is unlike.
November 22, 2009 Fort Lee, 1776 Fort Lee, New Jersey, found its place in American history during the 1776 British campaign to control New York City and the Hudson River. On November 20th, 1776, the British had ferry five thousand men across the Hudson several miles north of Fort Lee. When word of the crossing reached Washington, he ordered an immediate retreat, before his army could be cut off. These were among the darkest days for the American cause. On November 22nd, 2009, there was a Historical Reenactment of the event at Fort Lee Historic Park. And there was an exhibit of revolutionary era weapons, dress and craft of the 18th century.
November 2, 2009 USS NEW YORK USS NEW YORK arrived in New York harbor on Monday, November 2. Built with steel recovered from the World Trade Center's twin towers.
September 13, 2009 FLIGHT 1674 AA 1674 Flight Information through a...camera viewfinder
August 31, 2009 NY, NY Study of NYC from a single site. NY, NY
May 9 - 10, 2009 Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park Planting Fields Arboretum State is an arboretum and state park covering over 400 acres located in the Village of Upper Brookville in the town of Oyster Bay, New York.
March 27, 2009 Blackpoint Wildlife Drive Park, FL Blackpoint Wildlife Drive Park is a unique place to photograph aquatic birds and wildlife without even leaving your car, if you want to…
January 17, 2009 Lake Minnewaska, New York A week of subzero temperature at Lake Minnewaska State Park Preserve ensured fewer than regularly visitors last weekend and virtually no footprints on snow. In addition, due to the inclement weather condition in the end of December of 2008, many trails or their parts were closed pending fallen trees removal. There was full access to the main attraction of January 17th photography session – Frozen Waterfalls. The ice over the stream looked deceivingly solid – I was careless to gauge the danger of breaking the ice. It cracked… and I fell in the water. Water proof boots and clothing saved my day. Not every year you can see Lake Minnewaska waterfalls frozen in full splendor. If it is in your plans then do not wait before it gets melted! It is only few hours away from New York City.
January 4, 2009 West Hurley, New York I was photographing in West Hurley the first days of this year. Hurley is a town in Ulster County, New York. Much of the town is inside the Catskill Park. Bald Eagles can often be seen at the Ashokan Reservoir in winter. The reservoir is in the eastern end of the Catskill Park, and is one of several reservoirs created to provide the City of New York with water. This web gallery will introduce you to the winter landscape in the Catskill Park.
November 15, 2008 Mountain Pocono, Pennsylvania Raining All Day and Every Day... could be a suitable title candidate for the offered web gallery.
November 9th, 2008 Mashomack Preserve - Shelter Island, New York It was a long ride to Shelter Island (coming from Brooklyn…) and I wished we left earlier. It is achievable to hike all trails of Mashomack Preserve in one day without stopping for photographing... It was not the case for me. Car ferries play a role of car “speed bump” and, as a result, there were few visitors at Mashomack Preserve. Bike riding and pets walking are not permitted. The walking trails are designated in such a way that most of the walk is one way passage – it feels as if there are no-one else on the trail. This web gallery will hopefully give you an idea of the Mashomack Preserve.
October 20, 2008 October 19th Lake Minnewaska Photography Workshop On the day of the workshop the foliage at Lake Minnewaska region was in peak color and leaf drop was low. No wonder the parking space was in demand. In this web gallery you can sample a few images that I had a chance to take during our workshop. We did not photograph the waterfall sites in the park – few rains provided not enough water supply for the waterfalls' splendor I was hoping to offer the participants. Late fall rains and winter snow will present plenty of future opportunities. I photograph in the area of Lake Minnewaska State Park Preserve on regularly basis and can offer a one-on-one guidance – send me your e-mail inquiry with the information of your photography interests and preferred travel dates.
September 2nd, 2008 Dahlia Show On Sunday, August 31, 2008 I was photographing at the Dahlia Show at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park, New York. The Long Island Dahlia Society had the 64th Dahlia Show. I would like to thank the members of the Dahlia Society for the opportunity to photograph at the show and the offer to participate at their Photography Dahlia Exhibit later this year. Those who are familiar with my work recognize that, aside from odd exceptions, I prefer not photographing beautiful flowers. At the show the flowers were undeniably beautiful and… I was charmed by Dahlia. It felt almost like reading good poetry. I used my camera and the result is on display at this Dahlia web gallery.

June 6, 2008 Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo From May 18 to June 1, 2008 I was photographing in Japan. In this web gallery you can preview the snapshots from the most famous fish market in Japan - Tsukiji Fish Market. The spectacle of the many kinds of fresh fish and other seafood and the busy surroundings of scooters, trucks, sellers and buyers rushing around, make Tsukiji Market one of Tokyo's major visitor attractions.
May 14, 2008 May 11th was the last day of "Once Only Imagined" exhibit. "Once Only Imagined" fine art photography exhibit is ended at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park. Perhaps there will be new venues for the exhibit later this year. As new exhibit information becomes available, it will be posted here on this web site. I hope I had the opportunity to thank every visitor of the show to articulate my gratitude for stopping by, expressing your heartwarming and kind words. It makes me very happy when I witness relevance of my art to you. What I found truly awe-inspiring were that quite many young adults, after seeing my work, expressed their new interest to learn photography. This is the greatest possible reception from audience!! May 17th to June 2nd I will be away working on a photography project in Japan. This may prevent me from timely responding to your correspondence.
